On Monday 11th April seven keen coleopterists, all CAN members, met at Rixton Nature Reserve to thrash out the future of beetle recording in Cheshire. After a productive meeting the beetlers headed outside to do what they do best.
The picture below shows from left to right Don Stenhouse; county recorder for terrestrial beetles other than carabids, Jeff Clarke; coleopterist currently working on a Ladybird County Atlas, Paul Hill; Chair or rECOrd, Prof Clive Washington; chair of CAN and passionate and productive beetle recorder, and Rachel Hacking; county recorder for carabids. Andy Harmer; county recorder for aquatic beetles is behind the camera. Tom Hunt from rECOrd also attended but his workload meant he had to leave after the meeting. Thanks to Mick and Helen of Warrington Borough Council for allowing us to use the facilities.
